I made this little set back in 2020 actually and I never got down to penning into a pattern and releasing but since Chinese New Year is on its way… I have decided to package it up properly and release it! It is made up of 2 boys, 1 lion, 30 pages and 140 images to help you make this set!

Another awesome bundle for Valentine’s Day guys and I’m really happy with my contribution this time and hope you do too. Needless to say, there are a few wonderful couples inside including mine so see if you can guess which one is by me!

My latest collection featuring a Lion Dance Troupe is pretty meaningful for me and I had a couple of reasons to make it back in 2020. After getting down to putting the pattern together and all the pictures, I decided it’s in time to release for Chinese New Year!

So I was inspired to write this post after I read something about the Montessori way of getting your kids to clear up after themselves and when I saw it, I was like wait a minute, I’m doing most of that already and I didn’t know others had made it into a system. Most, if not all the suggestions I made below I have tried and tested with my daughter and it seems to work so far (cross fingers) so go ahead and see if you can implement them!

So my aunt got my daughter a Chinese Book which taught about the Story of ‘Nian’ and she absolutely loves that short story so I decided to make a little colouring book with the story in English!

As a follow-up to my previous post I did last last year, which I felt was something great for me to look back and reflect upon. This year, I actually felt I had expanded on a lot of things that I was just starting out in 2020, mostly for Pocket Yarnlings. Release of Fantasy Folks collection!

Making facial hair is a great way to add detailing to a face. There are many different ways to make moustaches, beards or both of them combined. Using simple yarn to sew on is the easiest. This time, I’ll be showing how to crochet it!

This time, it’s a slightly different pattern with my old Wizard! Ok, so this was an older form of Gandalf that I made, which was simpler to crochet but it does have some assembling components. If you missed out on my free Hobbit pattern, it’s right here to follow! I did update my Gandalf this round so he looks slightly different at the end, but this version is pretty cute and endearing too :).

Just so you know, I am also in the midst of coming up with some guide on amigurumi noses so these are just SOME of the nose examples I have made before.

Hey guys another free pattern has landed! This little guy has a special place in my heart, he is Pippin! My sister’s favourite hobbit and quite possibly the silliest hobbit! Making the hair for these little guys were pretty challenging and I would not say I am the most satisfied with them but this is some of my earliest work!

If you have ever considered just trying out shiny yarn, maybe for crocheting and for amigurumis, I have some tips and suggestions for you! Especially if you have never used it before. The first time I used it, it kept tangling up and getting caught together. I literally had to crochet then cut, crochet then cut and repeat to get it done, unraveling was such a nightmare too. So these are some of my tips and tricks (after a fair bit of destroyed yarn) to dealing with shiny yarn:

Technically not a crochet tutorial but a craft wire tutorial! It is for accessorizing our amigurumis, which I love to do! This time, it’s about making Aragorn’ sword using some simple craft wires. I used the same method to make a trident for Aquaman and a pair of sai for Elektra, as you will see later on!

These are 9 different ways I have managed to use random household things and incorporate them into my amigurumi! Perhaps you can try some of them, after all they were going to be thrown away!

My second free printable from the Woodland set! This time, I decided to make some mix and match printable cut-outs.

I need pattern testers again! This time it’s a fantasy-inspired set and the colours are slightly darker but still fun to make nonetheless. There are different involved, but you can see that from the image above right, some parts almost completely revealed lol.
