Making Different Amigurumi noses!

Here’s a little sneak peek! Ok so I will be releasing the Fantasy collection soon but this is just some behind the scenes of what I have been doing. Just so you know, I am also in the midst of coming up with some guide on amigurumi noses so these are just SOME of the nose examples I have made before. Don’t ask me about the names for them, haha I had a difficult time naming the noses I created, I think total 20 different ways to do it! This Fantasy collection was a sort of test bed for me to incorporate the different techniques into their heads so wait to see how they turned out!

Pointed nose

This nose does protrude out slightly and points downwards, most of the techniques I suggested are all seamless, meaning there is no need for additional sewing on after the head is done. I proposed a continuous method which is included into the pattern for the head! If you also notice carefully, there are different jawlines as well - that is probably a story for another time :).

Straight nose

This nose tends to extend outwards more prominently as compared to the previous one. I did pair in with a more rounded jawline too. I feel the nose and the jawline in combination can give the amigurumi head a totally different look. I did also make this ami head’s temple sink in slightly, even though that might not be too prominent here!

Droopy nose

This was a funny one to make, the nose does look kind of droopy right? I was just experimenting with various different stitches in various combinations, also coupled with different jawlines and chins. This was one of them that resulted, does it look droopy and strange? Haha. There are other variations of this I made too, including a really beaked one as well.

Flat nose

I really did not know how to name this particular one, not my favourite one either. I just came up with a skipping stitch and single crocheting over it method to bring the nose together and this was what resulted. Also, attempted to include a small little mouth here which may not have turned out the best. I am attempting to refine these experiments though! The side profiles of the final pieces are coming up if you can tell which belongs to which one!

Can you guess which nose above belongs to which nose below? If you would like to get more ideas on shaping your doll amigurumi face, remember to check out the ideas list below!
