Quick Amigurumi Facial Hair
Making facial hair is a great way to add detailing to a face. There are many different ways to make moustaches, beards or both of them combined. Using simple yarn to sew on is the easiest. This time, I’ll be showing how to crochet it!
Using this method of making the beard can be combined with various hairstyles on the Amigurumi head. Though I tend to use this with wig caps so that all the hair is uniformly crocheted.

These are some other little moustaches and/ or beards which I have crocheted for my other little Yarnlings. If you see any of my old characters, can you spot which one belongs to who?
There’s a little chapter on making facial hair in my latest ebook... this short tutorial above is how I made the moustache and beard for my little dwarf (Gimli actually :). The pattern for him and rest of the Woodland folks will only be out at the end of the year!
If you have been seeing my last few posts (if you haven’t, please check out the hair series, it’s packed with useful techniques!), then you will know that I’ll be revealing even more about my latest ebook.
