Crochet can be done with just one hook and any type of yarn and has many different uses. It’s one of the easiest crafts to learn and is great for beginners.
Television Feature on my ‘Slash Lifestyle’!
This was something that happened to me back in July 2021, most exciting! I was approached back in 2020 for a feature on a Channel 8 program (a Singapore Mandarin speaking television channel) but it didn’t exactly pan out. Fast forward to middle of 2021, I was contacted for the same program and it was confirmed that I was going to be featured in a program about the ‘Slash Generation’.

My latest free pattern and isn’t she a pretty little duck? There are quite a few components here including her beak, wings, webbed feet, hat and even her flower on her hat! They all work up individually and have to be attached together so I would say there is a fair amount of assembling to do here.

Woo Hoo Picard is back! This series is not quite like Star Trek Voyager but it’s nice to see Jean Luc again and Data! I made this collection back when I started watching that Star Trek series and it was one of my simpler designs when I used to make everything as seamless as possible.
The Making of Starship Enterprise
Now this was probably the most recent thing I made of the TNG series. There was quite a bit of trial and error but it was all in good fun. Of course I started off with the iconic saucer and initially tried single crochet rounds - ended up looking more like an octagon. Then I tried making double crochet rounds and that turned out more satisfactory.

It’s always the season of love right? Hope you liked my Peter and Jane Patterns on a bench. Decided to release my Cindy Bear pattern for free this month! She works up pretty and pretty fast too with her skirt and flower. The head and body are continuous, but the detailing does include some attachments!

Magnetic components in my Kissing Couple!
To make my amigurumi sets more interactive for kids, I have been using some tiny magnets inside. I know there are some hang-ups with using magnets when kids are playing but so far my preschooler seems to be loving it.

I’m really excited about this set because I started incorporating all kinds of new techniques inside for the limbs and facial head shape. I made them in 3 separate components including the bench and yessss I did incorporate magnets as well, which I will elaborate on more in my next post.
