In this post, we will first be starting off with the relevant supplies and techniques you would need to crochet this butterfly floral garland.
As this is a beginner friendly pattern, there are basic crochet stitches as well as taller crochet stitches. Here to make the butterfly itself, we will be using 1 colour and then another colour for the flower part.

Terminology for Crocheting Butterfly Garland
Ch = chain
St = stitch (refers to number of stitches in one round)
2sc1 = single crochet increase (meaning 2 single crochet in same stitch)
Sc2tog1 = single crochet decrease (referring to invisible decrease)
3tr1 = 3 treble crochet increase (3 treble crochet in same st)
Materials and Tools for Crocheting Butterfly Floral Garland
3.5mm Furls Streamline Blush crochet hook
Scheepjes Catona or any equivalent fingering or sport weight yarn
Version 1 - White, Yellow, Orange (25gm each)
Version 2 - Green, Blue, Purple (25gm each)
Scissors

Now that you have gathered your supplies and had a look at the basic terminology to reading the following pattern, let us first get started!
Yarn
Scheepjes Catona or any equivalent fingering or sport weight yarn
Crochet hook
2.5-3.0mm Clover crochet hook
Stuffing
Use leftover yarn or polyester fibrefill
Darning Needles
Safety Eyes
4mm glass eyes or safety eyes
Stitch Markers
Plastic stitch markers or metal stitch markers
Crochet Butterfly Floral Garland Pattern
Crochet White Flower
Row 1: Ch100
Row 2: Work into 2nd chain from hook, sl st 8 (yellow), ch2 (yellow), ch2 (white), then continue to work into 2nd chain from hook in a round
Round 1: Work into 2nd ch from hook, 5sc1 (white)
Continue to work into rounds.
Round 2: [Sc1, (ch4, dc1 into 3rd ch from hook, hdc1, sl st 1 back on same st on magic ring)] x 5 (white) - 5st
Round 3: [Sc1, (ch4, dc1 into 3rd ch from hook, hdc1, sl st 1 back on same st on magic ring)] x 1 (white) - 1st
Then sl st 2 up the initial chain (yellow), sl st 1 in same main ch (yellow)
Continue to sl st 8 (yellow) along chain.
Crochet Orange Butterfly
Then ch4 (yellow), ch4 (orange)
Work into 2nd ch from hook,
(4sc1, sl st 1),
(sl st 1 back up the chain, 4sc1 into same ch, sl st 1),
sl st 1 up back up the chain, (ch4, 3tr1, ch1, sl st 1 down, ch4, sl st 1 back in same main ch),
turn and work into the other side of ch, (ch5, sl st 1 down, 3tr1 into same main st, ch4, sl st 1 back in same main ch) (all orange)
Continue to sl st 4 up the initial ch (yellow), sl st 1 in same main ch (yellow).
Repeat for 5 sets of white flowers and orange butterflies until end with 1 white flower.
Then sl st 11 (yellow) and end off.
