This is a little teaser of the collection I’m going to reveal soon! I’m so excited to show more soon… My minis’ clothes may not be interchangeable but I made a couple of cut-outs that are!

I need pattern testers again! This time it’s a fall-inspired set and the colours are slightly duller but still fun to make nonetheless. There are some animals involved, but you can see that from the image above right…. :)

To house my little mini Amigurumis, I decided to make a little teepee, which eventually became an elongated tent. It was handy, does not take up too much space and fit my little minis just right. This is how it turned out:

So I’ve had this great privilege to try out some Madeline Tosh yarn, as well as being featured as their October MT Studio designer. I usually use acrylic yarn and I did try to use wool yarn once and did not have too good an experience, so it was a real eye opener for me to try out MT’s merino wool.

The collection I’m going to reveal this month is something very special to me and it’s also very exciting… this was the first instance when I decided to come up with my own independent designs!

Thanks to my awesome Pattern Testers with this round of characters, there were quite a few to test so needed quite a bit of help. These are the final pieces - what do you think?

If you happened to miss my pattern tester call, no worries, I have the Bugs Bunny pattern here for free! He works up pretty fast and I did need some additional supplies this time which included some recycled white cloth and a permanent black marker.

This round there are 5 patterns in total, so I may need that number or more to help me again. Do note, I will be using US terminology. Guys this time it’s more intermediate difficulty and definitely more complex than my Looney Tunes characters. I do include step by step pictorial instructions for the tougher stitches though. But I would highly not recommend to respond to this call out if you are just starting out amigurumi. 😬

This is last part of the Oval series! Making a biconvex shape is like making a 3D oval shape or like crocheting a rugby ball or a football. It’s really useful for making head shapes, somewhat egg-shaped.

Welcome to the 4th part of making a pointed oval, this time using a magic ring as a starting point.

Guys, I’m so excited to tell you what I’ve been up to recently! I made a couple of new Amigurumi Designer friends and we all decided to come up with a Halloween Ami Super Pack together! To be very honest, I don’t really like to crochet many other items apart from Amigurumi (as evident as everything on my blog lol), which is something I share in common with all these other Ami designers!

The 3rd part to making a pointed oval - I know right, I have 4 ways just to create this flat 2D shape! Go check out the 1st and 2nd methods if you have not seen them. This time the method I use helps to create a wing-like appearance. 

Ok so this 2nd version of how to make a pointed oval is similar to the previous method but only half of it. Read on more to see what I mean.

So I came up with 4 different ways to come up with a flat pointed oval shape or an elliptoid shape. Here I will be covering the 1st of those 4 methods. It’s great for creating all kinds of Amigurumi attachments like long ears or leaves.

Now that you have seen the 1st part of the Oval Series, which was pretty basic, here are some new neat tricks to create a slight variation to the oval series - pointy ovals! 

You must be wondering - when and why will I use this method? I used them for all sorts of attachments for my amigurumis, especially the animal ones - think ears, wings, tails, head shapes. 

Since you have mastered the Circular series , aka circles, spheres and cylinders, (and some of Oval series), try your hand at this free Tweety Bird amigurumi pattern! It has all the circular elements you need to test out the new skills and works up fairly fast. 

Some time back in July, I was approached by someone from Team wonder and ACRES to help assist in making some amigurumis for sale for charity. I have always wanted to participate in something like this but truth be told, I did not really like crocheting bowls or hats or coasters. So this time, when I heard it was for amigurumis and the pattern was relatively quick, I was all for it!

If you have seen my Looney Tunes amigurumi spotted about in my past few tutorials, I need a couple of pattern testers to help me with it! There are 14 patterns in total, so I may need that number or more to help me.
