Making Razor Crest - Part 2

Don’t forget to catch the previous post on making Razor Crest - part 1 before reading this. That post concluded with the basic skeleton of the Razor Crest.

Laser cannons

To complete the macro-appearance, we must definitely add in the laser cannons at the sides. This is relatively easy, just making a basic conical and cylindrical structure. Right at the end, I didn’t close up the circle because I made a recessed circle to seal up the hole instead.

Assembly

As you can see, for this Razor Crest, I have made partial assemblies on the way, rather than separate pieces. Or either way, I suppose you could make them all separately and then assemble them together. But this step has to be complete before introducing the detailing on the ship.

Craft wires

I have mentioned about craft wires many times previously because I do use them extensively in my amigurumi. They make for great guns and swords. So I have incorporated it here again, wrapped it with some yarn and glued them down.

Detailing on the ship

Add some dark grey, grey and yellow yarn here and there to make some windows and entryways and it’s starting to look more and more like the Mandalorian’s ship! Hope it does look like it in the end!

Also, check out the other Mandalorian characters I made in the earlier posts - Baby Yoda and Din Djarin too!

If you happen to be a Star Trek fan too and really like ships, I made a Starship Enterprise, the first ship I ever made!
